The Conrad E-52 floor model etching press is the ideal press for any professional printmaking studio or classroom that demands precise pressure and rugged durability. With a printing area of 52" x 72", the E-52 smoothy handles the full width plate under extreme printing pressures.

The esteemed E-52 floor model press design features large sealed bearings, the largest floor model roll sizes in all of printmaking, and the renowned Conrad planetary geared reduction drive. With a precision ground steel or aluminim bed, the Conrad floor model press is designed for the highest pressure prints like etching/intaglio, photo gravure, and solar plates that a wooden bed wouldn't be capable of printing precisely.

The Conrad floor model press offers the largest upper roll diameter size of any press in the printmaking industry. With the optional Conrad Jumbo XL 12" Diameter Oversized Upper Roll, the Conrad floor model press will easily climb onto your plate and off again with grace. Other companies market smaller diameter rolls as being "oversized." The Conrad 12" Jumbo XL is the only true oversized roll for floor model presses in printmaking.

The Conrad S-3 geared planetary drive can be fitted with either spokes or a captain's wheel for an effortless printing experience even under the heaviest pressure settings. A 15-to-1 or 10-to-1 commercial drive with a hand crank can also be added to the Conrad floor model press in place of the Conrad S-3 drive for printmakers who prefer the familiar feel of a handle.

The 52" x 80" precision metal bed gluides smoothly through the press on 8 independantly adjustable support wheels allowing you to print lighter pressure work like monotypes, linocuts, wood blocks, letterpress type, and other relief techniques without the slightest resistance.
