Overview
The Conrad E-31 etching press brings the pressure and precision of a floor model press to your table top. With a vast printing area of 30.5" x 54", the E-31 encourages you to pull larger prints.
We left nothing to chance with the E-31 etching press design. Upgrading bearings, increasing the size of the rollers, and including the legandary Conrad planetary geared reduction drive, the E-31 feels comfortable with the demands of high pressure work like etching/intaglio, photo gravure, and solar plates. The larger Conrad S-2 geared planetary drive coupled with a large spoked wheel provides a natural, ergonomic printing experience on the heaviest pressure settings.
The 30.5" x 54" bed gluides gracefully through the press, riding on 8 custom reinforced support wheels allowing the printmaker to print lighter pressure work like monotypes, linocuts, wood blocks, letterpress type, and other relief work with mastery.
